Hot Mess!!

Hello, I'm so sorry I have been missing these last few days!! I have had major technical issues, and thanks to my AWESOME friends Erica and Thomas I am finally back on track!! YAY!!!!! I would have been lost without y'all!! XXXX... I am so lucky to have a BBF who's husband is an IT specialist... I owe him some BBQ, and a really good bottle of wine!!

So while I am only checking in today, ( I can't have y'all forgettin me already) I wanted to leave you with something to keep you busy till my next post.... Hello My Sweet's

Hello My Sweet's, I hope y'all had an awesome weekend!! I had a busy but productive weekend. Saturday was super exciting because I got my very first Studio Calico Project Life kit!!!!! YAY!!!! Can you see me doing my happy dance?!?! (probably a good thing you can't, because it's not pretty) My post Wednesday will be all about the P.L. kit, and I will post my pics of what I made!! I'm thinking I might try a few different monthly kits to see where I get the most bang for my buck? Please leave me a post letting me know which kits you love and why..

Okay now on to what I did this weekend.... I found some We R Memory Keepers plastic sleeves on sale at my all time favorite store "TARGET"!! I really like the idea of mixing up different size sleeves in my album!! I am new to scrap-booking and I had never done a 12x12 page, I knew I really wanted to give it a try.. And who says I can't mix 12x12 layouts in with my other pocket page layouts?? This 12x12 page is very important to me because I used a pic of my Father, he passed away 31/2 years ago.. I mostly used Dear Lizzy's Neapolitan 12x12 paper pack, I'm soooooo in love with this paper pack.. I needed lots of space to journal so I used a couple of plain tags that I painted to get the color I wanted. Yes, I said painted!!! I didn't know I could either!!! It was really simple I just took a cheap foam brush and painted what I needed.. Do make sure its full dry before trying to write on the painted surface, it will ruin your pen/marker.. He is a pic of my first 12x12 layout!!!

Here is a close up of the tags I painted, I think they are still a little wet.. I am sorry my pics are kinda blurry, I working on a light box...

       

I also thought I would show you the Project Life (style) pages I did this weekend!! I am super proud of these because I only used 6x6 paper pads!! I used Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine (who just had a beautiful baby boy), everything came from the Two Peas website.. They are have a huge clearance sale right now, check it out the good stuff goes fast!! 

These pics are of my BEAUTIFUL Grand-daughter Aubrey right after she was born. My Son (Aubrey's Daddy) is in the United States Marine Corps, and they where stationed in North Carolina at the time of her birth.. I hopped on a plane a couple day's later and got to meet her in person..

I'm Blown Away!

Wow, I'm blown away!! I can't tell you how exciting Wednesday was for me, I never imagined that almost 100 (96 to be exact) people would read my little old blog!! YAY!! I am so grateful to my online family for spreading the word, you guy's are awesome!! I never imagined that people that I have never met, and live all over the word, would become so important to me.. I can't wait to get to know all of y'all too!! It was my online family who encouraged me to start this blog, and for that I am forever grateful....  I forgot with all of the excitement to mention that you can follow my blog by email, probably one of those thing's I shouldn't forget!?!? I thought today I would talk about Project Life some more. I have so many things I want to share with you about P.L.. I really want to show you that you can take this AMAZING  idea and put your own spin on it.. Please keep in mind that these are my first few P.L. pages ,the further we go the more I will show you how I came to this realization.. 

With this page I took pic's of my Boy's on the first day of school, and the last.. I can not believe I never thought to take a pic of them on the last day too??? I really love this idea, and WOW did my guy's grow!! My Charlie Boy (my baby) looks super happy,NOT!! He was really just over having his pic done that day, LOL!!!! Most of the products I used here and on every page have come from my VERY FAVORITE site www.twopeasinabucket.com.. Check out this site they always have great sales, and they are home to the very talented "Garden Girl's"!! And no they are NOT paying to advertise, I'm just a fan.. If you want to know who made what leave me a comment and I will gladly get back to you.. 

 On this page I am telling all about my wonderful day, and what a day it was!! Austin my second born missed Mother's day because of work, so he came over a couple day's later to take me to lunch.. Such a good son!! My Very good friend Maria met us for lunch too, love that girl!! The other awesome thing that happened that day was my oldest son surprised me with a Instax camera!! YAY!!!!! Hey Y'all!

Hello and welcome, my name is Jenna Streff.. I am a LOVER  of most crafts, but mostly paper crafts.. I am mother to 4 boy's and I am married to my best friend. And I have a beautiful Granddaughter, Aubrey.. I have so many ideas for this blog, and I hope that y'all will follow along.I am a card maker and have just started scrap-booking and Project Life.. I plan on showing you my work and maybe even give y'all some ideas as well.. I plan on posting a few times a week, and each time I post I will show something new.. I am so super excited for us to start this adventure together. My hopes are that we will all become very good friends,and maybe even like family.. Here is a few pics of my Project Life, now keep in mind that I do mine a little different then most.. I know the die hard Project Lifer's will have a stroke over what I'm about to say and that's okay!! If you follow me on Instagram you know that my favorite hash tag is #doingitmyway.. I fully understand that P.L. is set up to take the guilt/stress out of scrap-booking, but weekly is still too much for me..... Maybe I just don't like being told how to do something?? LOL!! Or maybe I'm just a little lazy??? LOL!!! Either way, I like to do it my own way.. This is how I do it.... I basically print whatever pics I have taken in no particular order, and do my pages.. I do put pics from the same date on the same page, I'm not an animal!!! LOL!!! I really want y'all to see that we can take an amazing idea like P.L. and really make it our own!!  

Please keep in mind that I am NOT a professional photographer!!! I am just like you taking pics with my phone or basic a camera... This is the first page in my album, I wanted to make it different then all the"other" pages.. 

 This is my very first P.L. page, YAY!!! This was taken Mother's Day, these are my Boy's!! Well all but my oldest, he is stationed in California with his beautiful wife and daughter..
